- Brighid
I am always amazed at Brighid’s ability to rock a bowl haircut and be the sexiest woman in the room. She should be Joan of Arc for Halloween; that’d be hotter than any slutty old costume.
We also shot something kind of amazing today… hopefully it will be in print soon.
- 31Knots
From their show at Doug Fir in April.
I love negative space. And film.
- Sara, at work
In front of her store.
A friend of mine advised me to go past the prettiness, go beneath the surface, “go ugly” recently. The mouth in the second picture is me thinking about it.
- Red hair
I saw this girl on the street who could have been one of my sisters; Marine, or Amandine when she was younger, or maybe an old version of me, in the way she’s pulling at her hair.
- Sarah derrière et devant l’objectif
Sarah behind/in front of the camera.
I like these two together.
- Le nez de mon père
I have my father’s nose.
- Brian and Eddy Murphy
Few people know this but this cat’s name was George Michael for the first few weeks of his life.
- Sarah, just done with her Thesis oral, awaiting results
She’s a great photographer and said some things about longing and recording and preserving memories that made me cry. (I also mentioned her here) You can see her work on her website.
- Coucou !
I was just on the phone with my dad and wanted him to see this picture again. He gave it to me, it’s my most precious one. It’s him when he was 17, just out of high school. In my romanticized version of the story, he packed his bags for London against everyone’s wishes and this photobooth picture was taken the day before he left.
As soon as the picture was up, I heard him ask his girlfriend why she was making a face, and it’s because this photo was taken the year she was born… I think it’s cute.
