  • an update

I have been too busy doing exciting things like chain-smoking and missing trains to update any of you on what’s going on… I spent most of the past three weeks in intense family mode, it’s been fulfilling and sort of crazy, but beautiful. I’m ready to be back to other things but I want to see them more often. and I’m planning to.

A couple of months ago, I photographed a story on the Portland Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls for a French magazine called VoxPop for their January issue; just met with the mag people and got copies of it, exciting to see things in print… Here is my favorite:

    Rock Camp

I will be posting the article and pictures in a new section soon, as well as some of the million pictures I took on this trip. They are mostly of people of course, seems like the only notable thing in France is my family members’ faces but oh well. It doesn’t make much sense anymore to post the pictures in chronological order so I’ll make series. Soon. For real.

Anyway, I should go not be online all day but I’m coming back to Portland on Thursday; who wants to go out to dinner?!

  • I’ve been gone

I’ve been in France (”home” I suppose) for the past two weeks in Toulouse, Grenoble, Paris and now Lille and I sort of forgot why I don’t live here full time; save for some people being there and not here, I can see myself here again.

Lille is cold and familiar at the same time; I never did reside here past my first birthday but this is where I come to see my grandmother. I sneak the occasional cigarette away from her eyes at night. I never felt the need to do that as a teenager, even, strange that I feel I should do so now.
