- Glass Candy
I haven’t seen Glass Candy in a “real” venue in a while. The crowd was much different than the usual Tube/Storefront suspects where Glass Candy played their last few shows in town last summer and this fall, much much younger. I want my 15-year-old lungs back (among other things)… Anyway. We were lucky enough to witness a truly awesome impromptu quasi-dance class on stage featuring Ms No (in a turtleneck!) and some flying Myspace haircuts.
She is a very graceful performer. Totally magnetic.
- Panther, last night
Panther played the Wonder Ballroom last night with Glass Candy. I met Charlie and Joe Kelly recently when they were opening for Gossip in London and they are real sweet dudes. Charlie day jobs where my good friend/lover/awesome partner in crime Joe Von Appen day jobs. (Marius Copy works there too. I wanted to do a photo project about the pay-the-bills jobs of musicians in Portland. But then I realized that all they want is to never have to go to work again and I’d rather shoot people in environments they find stimulating).
Seeing people I know in real life on stage is one of my favorite experiences. It’s super intimate really.Charlie’s jumping moves= yes!
